Who we are

thermometerchart.net is an embeddable fundraising thermometer service. You can reach us at contact@thermometerchart.net.

What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Chart data you enter — the title, goal amount, current amount, display settings, and style you choose when creating a thermometer. This data is stored so your embedded chart can be served to visitors on your website.
Contact form submissions — if you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not stored in a database or used for marketing.
License keys — if you purchase a Pro license, the Gumroad-issued key and the domain you bind it to are stored to validate Pro access on each embed request.
Server logs — standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and the URL requested. These are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
Analytics — we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects page views, session duration, and general geographic region. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not collect payment card numbers or billing addresses. All payments are processed by Gumroad; see Gumroad's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your purchase data.

How we use your data

To render your thermometer chart and serve it as an image on your website.
To validate your Pro license key and apply the correct features and watermark setting on each embed request.
To diagnose errors and maintain the reliability of the service.
To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your chart data for advertising or share it with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.

Cookies

We use cookies set by Google services (Analytics and reCAPTCHA) to track visits across sessions and to assess form submissions for bot activity. No first-party cookies are set for anonymous visitors.

Third-party services

Google Analytics — usage analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google reCAPTCHA v3 — bot protection on the contact form. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (e.g. device and application data) and sends it to Google for scoring. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Gumroad — payment processing and license key issuance. Governed by Gumroad's Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting and infrastructure. Data is stored in Microsoft-operated data centers. Governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

Data retention

Chart records are retained for as long as they are actively embedded or until you request deletion. Charts that have never been accessed via their embed URL may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity. License key records are retained for the duration of the license period and up to 12 months after expiry for audit purposes.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your chart data at any time by emailing contact@thermometerchart.net with the subject line "Data deletion request" and the chart ID(s) shown in your embed code. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to access, correct, and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

thermometerchart.net is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a revised effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
